Our corporate arm focuses on developing location-based software and solutions; specializing in Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Wireless Communication, GPS Tracking and Mobile Applications. Our products and services are used by Security Agencies, Governments and Work force management in MNC’s.
As part of the Solutions Engineering Team, you will be responsible for the management and performance of Unix and Windows 2008 servers that hosts various client applications. You will be involved in the installation, design and implementation of servers, manage accounts, optimise performance and ensure the security of operating systems (Window Servers, HPUX, AIX, LINUS, etc). You will also work with the Applications team to support mission critical applications.
The job will require overseas travel to Singapore / Malaysia and Indonesia.
Microsoft Server Administrator / Architect
Responsibilities:
- Server cluster setup and SAN storage configuration.
- Setup of VPN networks and management of Active directories.
- Enforcement of IT security policies and security policies if Government Data Centres.
- Server monitoring, schedule backup, fine-tuning and executing disaster recovery.
- Error log report detection and resolution with programmer team mates. Knowledge and experience to plan and execute server migration process.
- Knowledge in troubleshooting of workstations and server hardware for various OS.
- Maintain servers, implement new applications, collect and review server reports and logs.
- Consult on server design architecture for new tender projects.
Requirements:
- Candidate should be able to work under pressure and take initiative to ensure the stability and productivity of applications servers.
- Experience in Windows Server 2008 and server clustering.
- Experience in using Object Oriented Design & Programming.
- Understanding of XML, HTML & CSS. Practical knowledge of PHP, MYSQL, HTML, CGI, PERL, etc. and Unix shell scripting language and other of Unix utilities and support tools.
- Skills in HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, Mail system, Apache, Samba and Internet System, SSH, Mail server, IDS Snort.
- At least 3 year experience as system Administrator.
- Prior experience in setup of application server infrastructure in Government Data Centres.
Candidates with the following qualifications are preferred.
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional.
- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist.
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator.
- Microsoft Certified Specialist (Windows 2008 server).
