You will ensure that petroleum engineering professionals have timely access to accurate data in order for decisions to be made which optimises and maximises the production potential of various assets. Working specifically with intervention teams and offshore personnel, you will be responsible for:
* Reviewing existing data in application workflows to achieve greater efficiencies
*Challenging and changing the petroleum engineering data management philosophy from an ‘ad hoc’ approach to one where data is managed, controlled and organised.
* Receipt of new data for the loading and updating of databases (including resolving any data problems)
* Supporting, promoting and documenting data management processes Degree qualified in an appropriate discipline or with relevant demonstrable work experience, you will have knowledge of petroleum industry data standards/formats, data management practices, procedures and applications. Working knowledge of production, drilling and/or appraisal activities are advantageous as is a good understanding of Oracle, SQL Plus, MS Access and MS Excel. Familiarity with Oilfield Manager, PI Data Historian and Wellview would be useful.
